Austrian blinds
Appeared in the 18th century and originally called fiston and used as a decoration for windows that do not open. Now this model makes for a big part of blinds sold around the world.
It resembles French blinds but it is folded in the upper edge of the window.
This is important for when there is a need to open the window because it folds horizontally and forms a crack, not obstructing the opening and can also fall down to the railing or floor.
Unlike French style blinds it looks equally good when folded and when let down.
Made of three different textiles: organza, veal, tulle
Organza is a transparent material and painting on it can be achieved by needlework, print or devore
Veal is a little less transparent material and is softer than organza
A more modern material in interior design has lately become tulle
Veil, organza and tulle can be draped beautifully and are able to fit in any interior Namely that and the quality makes them perfect for the making of Austrian blinds.
Offer a great variety in terms of colors and designs. When the interior allows for it they can be decorated with frills and pompoms.
Most suitable for Retro, Baroque and Eclectic style.
